Cat Kennedy is a CIAYT Yoga Therapist. With a passion for guiding individuals towards introspection, Cat specializes in helping her clients to connect with their bodies and develop a deep sense of presence, compassion, and curiosity.
In her early 20s, Cat found solace in yoga, using it as a powerful tool to overcome her personal struggles with an eating disorder. Through this transformative journey, she developed a healthier relationship with her body and food. Cat’s primary interest revolves around exploring how unprocessed emotions and experiences can become trapped in our bodies, and how awareness, breath, sound, and intuitive movement can initiate or even fully facilitate their release. By examining how personal and generational wounds affect our bodies, choices, and interactions, Cat illuminates their profound influence. Drawing from her own experience as a survivor of domestic violence, Cat is an ardent advocate for empowering individuals to voice their truths, nurture inner resilience, embrace authenticity, and heal.
Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, Cat has taken advantage of opportunities to travel across various countries and live in diverse cities including San Diego, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, and New Orleans. Along with being a CIAYT, she is also a RYT-500 Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, Internal Family Systems Practitioner, and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
In her leisure time, Cat enjoys writing, self-defense training, baking soda bread, the beach, biking, and going on international travel adventures.
Additionally, she offers private sessions on zoom that weave together Yoga Therapy, IFS, and Energy Work providing tailored guidance to those seeking a more personalized approach to their practice and healing.
For Cat, her goal is to help you “Embrace Your Body, and Honor Your Truth.”
